Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-1493 (?)
- SCP-1493 is an old, small electronic speaker that doesn't have any power source or input ports. It constantly makes discordant, random noise, and when it's shaken or gets too warm, the noise gets louder. If it experiences a strong vibration, like being dropped, its fabric membrane can expand and release aggressive, invisible, worm-like entities called SCP-1493-1, which also make loud, repetitive sounds. These entities wear their fabric membranes like protective suits because they can't survive in our universe's normal conditions, and they die if their suits are opened. SCP-1493 is kept in a cold, soundproof safe to prevent it from making too much noise or releasing these dangerous creatures.
- Hyperart Thomasson (?)
- Hyperart Thomasson is a conceptual art form identified by Japanese artist Akasegawa Genpei in the 1980s, referring to parts of buildings or the built environment that have become completely useless but are still maintained, appearing like art pieces despite not being intentionally created as such. These "hyperart" objects, which cannot be created but only discovered, are named after baseball player Gary Thomasson, who was famously well-paid despite his poor performance, symbolizing something preserved without purpose. Examples include staircases leading nowhere, blocked-up doorways, or remnants of demolished buildings, which highlight the human imprint on the urban landscape and become subjects of "street observation."
